Braeside Guest House Accomodation - Our Building
A Historic Accommodation in Swellendam
The main accommodation was built in 1901, originally consisted of a large patio, entrance, lounge, dining room and 2 rooms. This house is of typical Cape Edwardian style, with high ceilings, original antique windows sash and original Oregon pine wood floors. There are still the original fire places in some of the rooms. Later an additional 3 rooms where added to the building. The Guest house sits on a hill overlooking the Langeberg mountains with a beautiful large garden.
Welcoming and friendly host, nothing too much trouble. Loved being able to have free access to the public rooms in the lovely old house. The breakfast offering is 6 star, the best bed and breakfast I've ever had.

The welcome we received on arrival from Fiona was fantastic. The attention to detail throughout the guest house is lovely. Breakfast is a work of art! We couldn't find any fault & will definitely return & recommend to friends travelling in the area which is a great stopping off point from Knysna to Hermanus or the Winelands.
