House & Garden

The main house built in 1901, consists of patio, entrance, lounge, dining room and 2 rooms such as 'Tribal Room" and "Marquise de Pompadour" suite.
This house is of typical Cape Edwardian style, with high ceilings, original antique windows sash and original Oregon pine wood floors. There are fire places, in the lounge, the dinning room and the "Tribal Room".
Later on, "Kalahari Room", "Hemingway Room" and "Queen Astrid Room" were added to the main building.

Throughout the large garden we can find an interesting variety of indigenous and tropical, flowers, plants and trees. Many friendly birds gather and live free range in the garden. A very nice ponds and fountain feature sits in the middle of the garden where quite colorful ornamental ducks bring life to it. Pure breed amusing and friendly hens have the mission to lay delicious fresh eggs for your breakfasts. As we never use any chemicals in the garden, the birds are very useful to control pests while fertilizing the soil.
